Get Free Coupons: YES! Paper - Your Essential Shopper

07/04/14 | Dana LaRieal Morales

For those who are evaluating and making adjustments in their financial life, I have something for you today...free coupons!!!!  Wait what? you aren't a couponer????  Well, that's an issue for another day, but I encourage you to continue reading because you really need to think about it.  For all you couponers out there, I know you want to find a way to get free coupons.  You understand the value of these little sheets of paper to your bottom line. You, however, don't want to have to purchase the Sunday paper, just to get the coupons that are inside.  I have gone to great lengths to get coupons for free because purchasing the Sunday paper cuts into my overall savings.  Yep, I definitely get it.  From asking neighbors to asking co-workers, this thing is real and we need all the help we can get.

Well, I want to share with you a gem of a freebie that will allow you to save more money in your household. What is this you say??? FREE???? Yes…Free. This gem is ironically called YES! Your Essential Shopper and it's a publication that is delivered in a pink wrapper with YES! written on the outside (my guess is because that is what you will say when you see it sitting outside). Inside the wrapper, you will find free coupons and sale ads to prep you for the week ahead (these are the same if not similar to those you receive in the Sunday Paper).

How to Get Free Coupons

To subscribe to the YES! Publication, you can call the Tennessean at 615-313-2726 or email them at tmcservice@tennessean.com to request delivery.  If you live outside the Middle Tennessee area you will need to contact your local newspaper [Note: THB is in no way affiliated with The Tennessean or the YES! Paper and is just letting you know about the publication. If you are one of our readers and you (1) want to receive or (2) are experiencing difficulty in receiving the paper, you should contact your local newspaper distributor to request the paper, see if they deliver in your area or complain about its distribution.  I am not associated with the paper or its distribution and therefore can't assist with those matters.]

Unfortunately, this paper isn't offered in all areas and in areas where it is offered, it isn't always delivered.  In fact, since I moved I haven't received it at all (enter sad face).  It is definitely worth the try and for those of you like me who are having a difficult time getting it.  Don't be shy about asking your neighbors who get the paper if they use their coupons.  If they don't, ask if they will save them for you and even come up with a system for you to get them.  As I stated, I asked a co-worker and they bring them to work every one or two weeks for me.

Another way to get free coupons is to sign up for the store's mailing list, website or mobile site.  Most companies now offer exclusive coupons on their websites.  Grocery stores also offer electronic coupons on their websites for those who are a part of their loyalty program.  Kroger is our local store and they not only offer electronic coupons but they also send coupons based on what we typically buy and let me tell you those coupons are excellent!

If you have other ways in which to obtain free coupons please, by all means, share them with me in the comments and I will add all information I receive to the THB free resource library.  Happy Couponing!
