How to Protect Your Content and Your Brand with Jennifer Webber of Entrepreneurship Collective

08/20/21 | Dana LaRieal Morales

In this episode (Part 1 of 2) I speak with Jennifer Webber of the Entrepreneurship Collective.

Jennifer uses her 20+ years of experience as an attorney in the trademark, copyright, and business space to lead her to create the Entrepreneurship Collective.  The Collective, allows her to continue her efforts to educate, train, and inform business owners, entrepreneurs, and creatives so they may protect their content, their brand, and their assets.

Intellectual property affects every industry, every day. Your content (marketing materials, websites, brochures), your brand (business name, product names), and your business (can you really use that screenshot of a testimonial?), are all affected by business and intellectual property laws.

Jennifer works with you to understand what rules apply to your business, what you can protect, what to enforce, and when you can tell that business bully to pound sand.

So you will understand why I am so excited to bring you this episode because we were able to discuss a number of things during our conversation.  I encourage you to grab your paper and sneak off to a quiet place because you definitely don't want to miss this episode.  You should also mark your calendar so you don't miss next week's episode which will cover the second part of her interview all about social proof.

During our conversation a few things we talked about were:

  • How to Issue Spot
  • Some key things not to do when developing documents for your business
  • How to address legal needs on a budget
  • Trademarks and Copyrights (and entire Intellectual Property umbrella)
